Movie Mania - February Schedule
Adventure and romance are the themes for February "Movie Mania" at the Sebring Public Library. We will start February 7th with "Journey to the center of the Earth". A story of a scientist, his nephew, and their mountain guide, out on a quest to find out what happened to the scientist's missing brother; and the discovery of a fantastic and dangerous lost world in the center of the earth. (Rated PG)
We will celebrate Valentine's day on February 14th with "A Knight's Tale". A rousing story of lowborn William Thatchers' quest to change his stars, win the heart of an exceedingly fair maiden, and rock his medieval world. (Rated PG 13)
On February 21st we invite you to go over-the-top with "Speed Racer" and enjoy with us this sensory overload experience determined to replicate its frantic, television-anime origins. Speed Racer is wild enough to wow a viewer with one dazzling effect after another. (Rated PG)
Lastly, on February 28th we will present: "Mamma Mia". The story of a bride-to-be trying to find her real father from three possible candidates, and told using songs by the popular 70s group Abba and based on the hit broadway musical. (Rated PG 13)
All movies start at 2 PM, and they are shown at the Sebring Library's Meeting Room. Admission and popcorn are free. Seating is limited. Everyone is invited.
Residents of Highlands County will consider libraries as the primary source for all their information needs. Library facilities will be modern, spacious and inviting with full capability to accommodate a variety of activies and services. Library staff will be well trained and capable of assistng library users in negotiating their way through the information network.
